2010 US OPEN RAFFLE

Hello TOP Raffle Supporters:

Thanks for supporting the recent raffle of US Open Men's Final tickets! Gross proceeds are estimated to be $10,500. The net profit will fund all expenses for one tournament-level student, for one year, and allow us to fund Fit to Hit for 10 students.

The raffle took place on August 1, as scheduled, and the winning ticket was purchased by Ava Vorwaller, a tennis enthusiast and member of East Bank.

The feel good story --
The winning ticket was sold by one of our TOP parents, Leticia Kagan, a struggling masseuse, to one of her clients, Ava, mentioned above. Ava and her husband have been to many grand slam tournaments and although she says they would have loved attending this one, they thought Leticia's son, a 14 year-old TOP student, would enjoy and benefit from the experience, so they gave the tickets (and the accompanying $1,000 AMEX gift card) to the Kagans, so that their son could experience the US Open. Now if that doesn't make you smile, ... .

Again, thanks for your part in continuing to make things happen for our kids! Stay tuned for raffle tickets to the Western and Southern Financial tournament in Cincinnati. Now that this is a combined women's and men's tournament, it should be even more exciting! All of the big names play this tournament.
